It was a very dark hot night in the Summer. Whitman street. Carteret NJ. Everyone was sleeping.<br \/>\nExcept for me.<br \/>\nAll I wanted was something cool. Something really magical and wonderful.<br \/>\nIn this dark sleeping house&#8230;&#8230;.I wandered&#8230;..alone&#8230;&#8230;and frightened that I may be caught.<br \/>\nIn the upstairs hallway I placed a jar. Full of &#8220;lightening bugs&#8221; that I had captured earlier. Hundreds of them.<br \/>\nAnd in the middle of the upstairs hallway&#8230;.I opened the jar&#8230;.and let them out.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/themightyten.com\/blog19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/fireflys.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/themightyten.com\/blog19\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/05\/fireflys.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"fireflys\" width=\"333\" height=\"236\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-276\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t as magical and wonderful as I thought. Everyone was sleeping anyway.<br \/>\nAnd the next morning there were hundreds of dead bugs everywhere.<br \/>\nIt was pretty disgusting. It was me. I did it.
